Vacuum cleaners set too low or vacuum cleaners with a stiff brush have been known to cause bearding, (a hairy/fuzzy appearance on the carpet surface). Leaving the vacuum cleaner running in one place for too long, can cause bearding in isolated areas. This typically happens when the consumer disengages the vacuum hose to clean steps, corners, edges, and overhead areas. Some vacuum cleaners do not have a brush shut off. Some carpet manufacturers require vacuums using suction only on their carpets. A stiff brush can damage today’s softer yarns by being too aggressive.
Corrections – Many fuzzing bearding and texture claims can be corrected using specialized shearing equipment designed for carpet.
Shearing can correct carpet issues including carpet tile fuzzy edges, pilling, sprouting, bearding, fuzzing, uneven manufacturing shearing, high rows, texture variation and even some color issues. We have a high degree of experience and our results are exceptional.
